Tregothnan loose leaf tea is a delicious, quality tea made with leaves grown right here in Cornwall. They were the first English tea company to create a range of teas grown on home soil. As a result this is the only truly English Tea!

The range includes black teas that are blended with Assam and Darjeeling. The quality of the leaves combined with the skill of blending creates a tea that is delicious and clean on your palette. In addition, Tregothnan also offers green tea and herbal infusions.

The ‘Classic Tea’ from the Tregothnan range is perfect as part of a traditional Cornish Cream Tea. We feel that a truly Cornish Cream Tea will feature tea grown in Cornwall alongside the scones, jam and of course the clotted cream.

The Teas:

All of our loose leaf teas contain 14 individually wrapped portions. Of course this tea is beautifully packaged, making for the perfect tea gift.

Classic Tea: This blend is the oldest blend from Tregothnan. This is a classic English Tea recipe, Tregothnan tea are blended with Assam leaves for a bold and crisp flavour.

Brewing instructions from Tregothnan: To brew a cup of the best Classic English tea, use freshly boiled water which has been left to cool to approximately 95ºc, to avoid the loose leaf tea leaves from being scorched with overly hot water. We recommend three to four minutes of steeping time for the perfect, pick-me-up Classic English tea brew.

Red Berry Tea: A perfect combination of strawberries, raspberries, marigolds, cornflowers and apples. The gardeners at Tregothnan Estate grow the ingredients for the red berry tea.

Brewing inspiration from Tregothnan: In the warmer months why not serve Tregothnan red berry tea over ice. With a slice of orange this makes the perfect sugar free cool drink for summer.

Peppermint Tea: Caffeine free and delicious. Furthermore, Tregothnan peppermint tea leaves are grown in England and support British growers.

The health benefits: Peppermint tea aids digestion. Also, these tea leaves are a great alternative to caffeinated beverages. In addition, drinking peppermint tea is an effortless way to stay hydrated.
